Three dentists. You pick who sees who.

Most families end up with all three. Tell Denise when you book and she’ll line the chairs up.

House rules

  1. No flossing lectures.

You know. We know you know. We’ll just show you the two spots that need it.

  2. The price comes before the tools.

If something needs doing, you hear what it costs and what insurance covers before anyone picks anything up.

  3. One stuffed animal per kid.

It rides in the chair, and it gets its teeth counted too.

  4. Running late? Text us.

Ten minutes behind on a Family Morning is fine. We shuffle the chairs; nobody loses their slot.

“I’ve got three kids. I know what it costs to pull them out of school on three different Tuesdays. That’s the whole reason Family Mornings exist.”

Dr. Tomás Ybarra, who opened Shortgrass in 2009

What parents ask Denise

Can my kids go back without me?

Six and up, yes, and most of them like it better. Under six sits in the chair with you or on your lap, whichever goes better that day.

What if one of us needs a filling?

Family Mornings are for checkups and cleanings, so we don’t keep the whole family waiting on one drill. We’ll tell you the price on the spot and book it, usually the same week.

Do you really do braces here?

Dr. Quintero did two extra years of orthodontic training. Braces and clear aligners, consults are free, and checks can ride along on a Family Morning.

Can grandparents come?

Please. Dentures and partials get adjusted in the same chair. Plenty of our Family Mornings are three generations.

Do I have paperwork?

We text you one link per person. It takes about ten minutes, and you can do it from the car line.

What about insurance?

We’re in network with most PPO plans and we file the claim. Give Denise your card numbers when you book and she’ll tell you what you owe before you come in. No insurance? See the Care Plan.
